The Flag

Installation, gypsum, wood, 270 x 120 x 50 cm, 2012

The Flag is inspired by the common plastic miniature soldiers, which were first introduced by the Toy company Louis Marx and Company after Second World War, and now become well-known toys. Despite evoking the brutal memories of killing, the plastic soldiers, which are mainly designed to dress in either U.S. or German uniforms, are still popular among children today.
